Originally built around 1987
All of the Ply in the Transom and the Stringers were delamed and rotted away.
It had to be replaced.
............... that's right.......... another PROJECT !
Repairs started in October 2014.
I hope we are in the water by March 2015.

Layers......... 1/2" Hull fiberglass, 2 Full sheets of 3/4" Marine Plywood, with Resin between layers, 1 Partial sheet of Ply |
Ply is coated in Resin |
Floor deck is removed to expose bad ply |
Ply is delaminated and must be replaced |
Fuel tank is removed and bottom just be cleaned. |
New stringer installed |
New Ply (with resin) is installed to supply a new LIP for replacing the deck |
Foam is installed to help support the new LIP |

I found this 1998 Force (Mercury) 120 HP Outboard. It is in really great shape. I suspect that this one has very few hours. |
